The scents that made my 2022 Summer even more special

Welcome to my blog lovely people!

Having had a Fragrantica profile for the longest time (well actually two, one on the International site and one on the Italian one, both under the name of GiareDiLuce - links here international and Italian) and since I have opened an Instagram account a few months back, @kaleidoscent_giarediluce, I've decided it would have been nice to have a blog as well, because I'm a Millennial at heart and I still love blogs and also to have a directory of my reviews (just the two cents nobody has the need to read, but hey lol).

So... let's talk about perfumes, shall we?
Since this particularly hot Summer is coming to an end, I wanted to do a recap of the scents I enjoyed more than others and the ones I've discovered during the past three months.

Starting from the left in the back row in the picture above, Diptyque's Eau Moheli was actually a discovery I made in Spring and one I enjoyed so much when I just wanted something easy to wear, feminine yet a bit exotic.

Salty Amber was part of the usual five-piece Jo Malone Summer Collection, this year inspired by British Isles. This number I've chosen is the warmer of the bunch and the most interesting, to me. The combination of salt and amber reveals itself as being very much sophisticated.

Surprisingly, I really loved a heavier fragrance in the hot Summer months. A Lab On Fire Made in Heaven is the sweet, narcotic, jasmine juice that has accompanied some of the happy moments I was lucky to enjoy during the season.

Tiziana Terenzi creation, Kirké, was the one I chose to wear at my cousin's wedding: it's a fruity, sophisticated yet playful scent that I found perfect for such a joyful occasion.

Another Jo Malone London, another limited edition. I'm sorry. Primrose & Rye is basically the smell of suntan lotion to me, and I'm saying it in a positive way. I wish they'd make it available again.

Vanilla Vibes by the house of Juliette Has a Gun doesn't need any introduction as it's a well-loved one: the perfect salty vanilla, not too sweet, not too dry.

Byredo Open Sky is another limited edition, but I think you can still track it down somewhere on the Internet. Realistic marijuana with the zesty juiciness of pomelo.

In the front row, Pacific Rock Moss by Goldfield and Banks is a marine composition, and one well made and balanced. Sometimes it reminds me of the smell of olives, but again... I mean it in a very positive way. It's savory and beautiful.

Mango is the undisputed main character of Mugler's Angel Eau Croisière, 2019 edition. Juicy, carefree, fun.

Last, but not least, this little masterpiece from Parle Moi Des Parfums: Mile High 38 smells like ananas and caramel. It's round, absolutely mouthwatering and incredibly long lasting too!

So, which were your favourite perfumes this Summer? Which ones has accompanied your happy moments? Let me know in the comments below!
